Center for Analytic Studies (CASD) is an independent organization specializing in market and sociological research including socially oriented noncommercial projects in Kazan city and Tatarstan, Russia. Partner ties with the research companies in the nearby areas allow CASD to make research in Bashkortostan, Mari El, Udmurtia, Chuvashia, Ulyanovsk, Kirov, Samara, and Nizhny Novgorod regions.
CASD led by Prof. Alexander Salagaev has studied social problems since 1986. CASD now employs high-qualified sociologists, economists, managers. CASD researchers were on internship in USA, Great Britain, Finland, and France, won Fulbright, Macarthur, Ford, INTAS, Eurasia, NorFa, Academy of Finland, and European Commission grants. Prof. A. Salagaev is a member of International Sociological Organization.
CASD carries out various types of quantitative and qualitative researches including population and expert polls, focus groups, in-depth, interviews. CASD employs over 100 interviewers in Kazan and has branches in smaller cities in Tatarstan. CASD interviewers are able to conduct interviews in Russian or Tatar language.
